We are already in August and the housing market is doing great. Timing can be everything when it comes to selling your house. According to a report by ATTOM Data Solutions, home sellers reported the highest seller premiums during May and June in 2019. Spring has historically been the busiest buying season, but as competition for homes heats up across the country, January was the new April. 

Since March, due to the impact of Covid-19, the market has been unpredictable. We were not sure what was going to happen to the real estate market this year. As of August 15, 2020, according to the Cincy MLS, the Market snapshot is:

Total Properties. 1182

Average Days on Market. 91

Median List price. $250,000

Highest List Price: $3,249,000

Lowest List Price. $8,000

The home mortgage rates are low, the inventory of homes for sale continued its year-over-year declining trend and that shows there are plenty of buyers in the market ready to buy the properties and take advantage of the low interest rates.

As long as purchase application data stays flat to positive on a year-over-year basis, housing will be fine in 2020.
